Andrea and Chiara have been play partners for nearly ten years, connected by a deep bond that has grown through trust, communication, and a shared passion: Shibari.
Chiara Fenice discovered rope bondage twelve years ago, initially out of simple curiosity, and soon realized it was a genuine calling. She began her journey in the Italian rope scene as a model, attending classes and workshops that helped her develop a deeper understanding of her role. For the past eight years, she has worked closely with Andrea Ropes in his international workshops, contributing her experience, sensitivity, and strong stage presence.
Andrea Ropes, an internationally recognized Shibari performer and instructor, first encountered rope in 2006, inspired by an image that sparked the beginning of his artistic journey. After teaching himself the basics, he went on to study with influential Japanese and Western teachers, including Kanna Nawashi, Yagami Ren, Haruki Yukimura, Hajime Kinoko, Bob Ropemarks, Otonawa, and Bingo Shigonawa.
In 2015, he chose to devote himself to Shibari as a full-time profession, bringing performances and education to audiences across Italy and Europe. His style is known for its expressiveness, technical precision, and dynamic flow. As an instructor, he is appreciated for his attention to detail, his mastery of tension, and his focus on the deep communication between rigger and model — an element he considers essential in every tie.
